Our Mastodon backup is very huge (weekly master is near 250 Gb), even if "tootctl media remove" command keeps only 15 last days.
Is there any folder(s) we could exclude from backup (cache data or media which could be retrieved after a restoration) ?
Thanks for your help
Hi. Do you run only media remove?
Have you tried tootctl preview_cards remove?
@markusblogde Thanks, it will help to reduce storage volume !
You are welcome 👍
tootctl accounts cull is another option to maintenance. It can run a looong time...
I run this three every night.
@jpfox There's been some discussion about using separate S3 buckets for local and remote files but it's a really challenging configuration issue. Feel free to chime in if you have ideas https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/12382 https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/6675
